Stefanie Cheang, MD

Dr. Stefanie Cheang earned her medical degree from the Perdana University Graduate School of Medicine in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  She then completed her pediatric residency training at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. In 2019, Dr. Cheang made New Orleans her home when she began pediatric cardiology fellowship training at LSU Health New Orleans with Children’s Hospital. She then pursued an advanced fellowship in Cardiac imaging in Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center. Upon completion, Dr. Cheang returned to New Orleans and joined the faculty at Tulane School of Medicine as an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics and joined the clinical staff at Children’s Hospital New Orleans. Dr. Cheang has clinical interests in general pediatric cardiology as well as advanced cardiac imaging including fetal echocardiography and sees patients at the main campus in New Orleans. In her free time, she enjoys creating artwork with modern calligraphy
