Raegan Gupta, MD

Dr. Raegan Gupta is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology at LSU Health Sciences Center and has been a neonatologist at Children's Hospital since 2012. Dr. Raegan Gupta grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana, graduated from LSUHSC School of Medicine in New Orleans, and trained at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas for pediatric residency. She went on to complete a neonatal fellowship at LSU in New Orleans. Dr. Gupta has earned certification from the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Her clinical interests include the neonatal gut microbiome. She is also the NICU leader for nursing education for the Children's Hospital transport team and serves as co-chair for the Children's Hospital Ethics Committee. Dr. Gupta fell in love with the field of neonatology as a third-year medical student working at Children's Hospital. She finds extremely rewarding the opportunity to care for innocent and resilient infants while building relationships with families during such an intense time.
