Dr. Mandy Nasworthy is a Pediatric Cardiac Hospitalist at the Children’s Hospital New Orleans. Dr. Nasworthy serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at LSU Health New Orleans. She earned her medical degree and completed her Pediatrics residency training at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. She then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. Dr. Nasworthy is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics. Dr. Nasworthy joined Children's Hospital New Orleans in 2023. Her interests include acute care cardiology, pulmonary hypertension, single ventricle physiology, teaching and quality improvement. Dr. Nasworthy chose Pediatric Cardiology because of the highly variable patient presentations and the requirement of physicians in this field to think about every individual patient differently. When she isn’t caring for patients in the hospital, Dr. Nasworthy enjoys painting, sewing and spending time with family.
