Katherine Faust, MD

Dr. Katherine Faust specializes in Hand, Upper Extremity and Microvascular Surgery at Children's Hospital. She has more than eight years of diverse experience in Hand and Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Faust holds a medical degree from LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine and completed her residency training at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans. She went on to complete her fellowship in Upper Extremity and Microvascular Surgery at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She then completed a second fellowship in Pediatric and Congenital Hand at the Children's Hospital of Atlanta- Scottish Rite. On why the physician/patient relationship is so important, Dr. Faust said, "It is very important to explain what treatment options exist for various hand pathologies and I enjoy aiding patients in making decisions to get them back to their activities, be it work, a sport or hobby, caring for their children and grandchildren, outdoor recreation or crafting."
