Jessica Rivera, MD, PhD is an orthopedic surgeon at Children's Hospital New Orleans. After earning her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, she went on to complete residency training at San Antonio Military Medical Center, and a fellowship in pediatric limb lengthening and deformity reconstruction in Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopaedics in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Rivera is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) and sees patients at both Children's Hospital Main Campus and at University medical Center New Orleans. Dr. Rivera chose to orthopedic surgery specializing in limb length and deformity reconstruction because of her specific interest in challenging pediatric limb conditions combined with her experience as an Army surgeon who helped treat soldiers with limb reconstruction problems after trauma.

I like the way she explained what had to be done. The matter of time it would be until I have my surgery. Explained of the need for surgery.
