About James McMurray

Dr. J. Scott McMurray is the Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children's Hospital New Orleans. Dr. McMurray earned his medical degree from the University of Washington-Seattle. He completed residency training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He has completed a Laryngology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore and A Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Medical Center. Dr. McMurray has more than 25 years of experience as a Pediatric ENT specialist and surgeon and is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He chose to be a pediatric otolaryngologist because of his love helping point children in the direction to achieve their full potential. Dr. McMurray sees patients at Children's Hospital Main Campus, Baton Rouge Specialty Center and Mississippi.

    The provider staff was not friendly. They seemed non-concerned and hurried from registration to the physician to the nurse. The nurse did come in the room with his physician, but there wasn't any discharge paperwork that was given other than the prescription, which was called in.

    From check in to check out, everyone was fantastic. Dr. McMurray is amazing and his nurses were also wonderful. They were patient and understanding and listened to my concerns. I feel that I am able to return if I need to and will be provided with the same superior care and service. Thank you so much.
